E-Cruisers are styled to look like a motorcycle with 3 “ wheels. The frames are a heavy-duty aircraft quality 6061 grade aluminum and are made in Taiwan. The pronounced welds are to give you the old school or Rat Rod styling.
My personal bike is the E-X-Cruiser, 350 watt with the twin Lithium batteries. I have skull heads designed onto the fame, Rat Rod style with flat black paint. It is a head turner because there is nothing like it on the streets. The batteries look like exhaust pipes. The frames are warrantied for life from manufactures defects. It doesn’t come any better.
E-Cruisers are pedal assist bikes. You travel further and exercise all at the same time. Whenever I am on the bike it hard not to smile and enjoy the ride. This is where the fun begins. Coasting down hills at 20 mph on this solid frame and motorcycle tires you have confidence in the ride.

A German engineer at a leading bike maker Sachs Bikes designed the E-Cruiser. Patents are held in Europe and Asia. The bike’s 9 speed controller, speed sensor and Shimano inner speed work perfectly together giving you smooth acceleration. In fact, with the controller at level 5 you can be up to speed in a few seconds with little effort from a full stop.
The E-X Cruiser has a few extras, including leather grips, leather seat, a 9 step controller and the extra battery. The Controller displays speedometer, trip, odometer, battery state of charge, watts being used at the present time and a back light for evening rides. The E-Cruisers have front hub motors to allow for the Shimano inner 7 speed rear hub.
The front brake is a Tektro hydraulic oil pressure disk brake with a rear Tektro roller brake. When the brakes are engaged the power to the motor is disengaged for safety.
The integrated handgrip with 7 speed internally geared rear hub eliminates the need for a derailleur. The 7 speed comes standard on the E-X-Cruiser while a 3 speed is available on all other E-Cruisers. As you are traveling along with pedal assist you will sense when it is time to change the gears.
Built in LED lights in front and back are wired to e-bike battery. The wiring is smartly threaded through the frame, labor intensive but will give the bike a “cleaner” look. We also like the fact that E-Cruiser decided to go with rigid front forks over front suspension forks (usually of cheap quality on electric bikes).
E-Cruisers have one 36V, 10AH Lithium battery.
The batteries can be charged 800 times from when the controller tells you to charge up but up to 2000 times if charged sooner. The lithium batteries last longer this way. The factory warranty is one year but the useful life is for several years if you take care of the batteries and don’t discharge them too low. The battery takes 3-5 hours to charge depending on the discharge.
8FUN motor company manufactures the motor. The brushless motors come in three sizes 250, 350 and 500 watt. There is a 30 month warranty from the factory on the motor. The motor size depends on your type of terrain you will commute on. The lower the 250 watt motor will provide you with the ample power on the flat but the 350 watt motor will get you up 22 degree grades. The 500 watt will climb 22 degree hills with ease. You must understand that more power is required for the larger watt motors but with the multi-step controller it allows you to determine the watts used. You will quickly learn ways to conserve power to get you further.
